# Children/Youth

At Second Baptist Church are seeking to build a culture in which “children are not a distraction from more important work; they are the most important work.” (C.S. Lewis)

## **Nurturing Faith in the Next Generation**

By God’s grace, we work to provide a context in which children not only know about God but are also given opportunity to “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8).

We do that every Sunday through Family Worship together in our morning service (singing, scripture reading, and prayer) before elementary aged children are dismissed for Junior Church and a time of Bible study, games, and activities geared for their age.

## Family Sunday

Every fifth Sunday is a Family Sunday, in which children remain in the service and participate in all and often facilitate many of the aspects of our Sunday morning gathering.
